An 85-year-old Orford man was rescued by locals after his vehicle veered off Triabunna Wharf this afternoon, Tasmania Police say.
The crash occurred whilst the man was maneuvering on the Esplanade adjacent to the marina.
A number of locals quickly removed the driver from the water and contacted local emergency services.
The man, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was taken by ambulance to the local medical centre for treatment but was later discharged.
The vehicle will remain in the water overnight, and is expected to be removed tomorrow morning.
