Detectives from Taskforce Maxima Brisbane Region have charged three people with 33 drug-related offences following the execution of search warrants at three locations in Greenbank, Browns Plains and Chambers Flats on July 21.
Investigators from the Crime and Intelligence Command's Organised Crime Gangs Group located and seized a large quantity of dangerous drugs (including cocaine, heroin, MDMA, methylamphetamine and cannabis) valued around $897,000, as well as cryovac sealers, scales, a money counter and a Volkswagen Caddy.
Detective Superintendent Troy Pukallus said a wide range of investigative strategies lead to this large-scale seizure.
"Following a protracted investigation, Detectives from the Crime and Intelligence Command were able to identify and locate these individuals who have links to an organised crime gang, putting a dent in criminal activity that causes severe, widespread harm to our community," Supt Pukallus said.
"The Organised Crime Gangs Group is committed to using its resources to help make Queensland safer, and a seizure of this size brings us closer to that goal."
A 19-year-old Greenbank woman was charged with four counts of trafficking a dangerous drug, four counts of supply a dangerous drug, three counts of possess dangerous drugs, six counts of possess things and one count of possess proceeds.
A 20-year-old Greenbank man was charged with two counts of trafficking dangerous drugs, three counts of possess dangerous drugs and one count each of possess proceeds and possess things.
A 21-year-old Park Ridge man was charged with five counts of possess dangerous drugs and one count each of possess things, possess utensils and possess proceeds.
Investigations are ongoing and more charges are expected to come in the following days.
The alleged offenders are expected to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on September 16.
