The OSCE Mission in Kosovo will organize tomorrow a conference bringing together representatives of institutions, political parties, civil society and other stakeholders to discuss participation in electoral processes.
Following a series of electoral processes in Kosovo throughout 2025 and 2026, the conference will examine the findings from assessments conducted as part of the OSCE Mission's projects with three civil society organizations: Democracy for Development (D4D), Kosovo Disability Forum (KDF) and NGONGO
non-governmental organization AKTIV.
The conference will address different aspects of inclusive electoral participation, including women's political participation, participation of non-majority communities, accessibility and participation of persons with disabilities.
The event will feature panel discussions with local and international experts, followed by an open discussion aimed at identifying practical measures and opportunities to advance inclusive electoral participation. The discussions will also contribute to broader reflections on potential future electoral reform and ways to further strengthen inclusivity across Kosovo's electoral processes.
The conference will be opened by Ambassador Gerard McGurk, Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo; Kreshnik Radoniqi, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission; and Zenel Leku, Chairperson of the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel.
Media representatives are invited to attend the event tomorrow, Thursday, 1 October 2026, at the Swiss Diamond Hotel in Prishtinë/Priština, starting at 10:00.
