We are deeply saddened by the femicide case that occurred in Sarajevo yesterday and we express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
It is devastating that, after Gradačac, Zavidovići, Živinice and Bijeljina and other places in which such horrific incidents have happened, today we must again call for decisive action again to prevent femicide in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This latest murder painfully reminds us that promises, pledges, and commitment mean nothing without immediate and effective action.
The OSCE Mission to BiH once again urges all levels of authorities in BiH to prioritize prevention and combating gender-based violence and respond urgently, effectively and sensitively.
