Ottawa and Québec Support Launch of Stobia Food Container Factory

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages for Canada, and Pierre Fitzgibbon, Minister of Economy and Innovation for Quebec, made the announcement today.

The federal assistance consists of a repayable financial contribution of $268,795 from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED). The contribution will focus on the acquisition of advanced digital production equipment and facility improvements. The Government of Quebec is granting two loans totalling $364,000 through Investissement Québec and the ESSOR program. This support will also help to fund the purchase of equipment and a portion of working capital.
