Our Autumn Hard Waste Collection Is Coming To You 26 February

Do you have items at home that have reached the end of their life? An old washing machine that cannot be repaired or a bike too broken to be donated or sold? Stonnington's autumn hard waste collection begins in mid-March.

While the collection is a great excuse to dispose of items, be mindful that most of the hard waste collected in Stonnington cannot be recycled. Before you put items out for collection consider whether they can be:

  • repaired
  • sold
  • donated.

And remember, not all items belong in hard waste, last year's most commonly unaccepted items were:

  • paint
  • cement sheeting
  • unbundled green waste.

Our autumn hard waste flyer will start hitting letterboxes across Stonnington from early March. It explains everything you need to know about the collection, including exact collection dates for your property, when to put items out and what items are accepted.

You can also find everything you need to know about our autumn hard waste collection at - stonnington.vic.gov.au/hardwaste or through the MyStonnington app - stonnington.vic.gov.au/mystonnington.

Please do not put items out for collection until you have familiarised yourself with our flyer, website, or app.
