A Winston Hills our first home is still coming to terms with her significant windfall from this weekend's Saturday Lotto draw, where she claimed a substantial $862,332.62 as one of the six national division one winners. The draw, held on 13 April 2024, saw each winner take home a slice of the $5.2 million top prize.
The elated Sydney winner shared her initial disbelief upon realizing her luck.
“Oh my gosh! Thank you!” the winner exclaimed when her prize was confirmed by a lotto official.
“I had a message and I thought it was scam. But then I thought I’d check my Saturday Lotto ticket.
‘I saw $860,000 and thought, ‘this can’t be right!’.
“I got my partner to check my ticket. I said, ‘Can you look at this? Is this right?’.
“I’m still not sure. You might have to pinch me!
“This was just a QuickPick. Every time I autoselect I look at the numbers and see if I like the combination. I liked this combination of numbers. I don’t know what I was thinking. I just thought, ’let’s see what happens’.
“This will really help us and help get us into our first home.
“I’m just going to stare at these numbers for a long time!”
The woman's ticket was a winning eight-game QuickPick entry.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4459 on 15 April 2024 were 18, 25, 19, 16, 1 and 3, while the supplementary numbers were 7 and 33.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4459 – three from Victoria, two from New South Wales and one from South Australia.
