The bushfire clean-up is now underway in Rainbow Flat, the Blue Mountains and Mogo, where local tradies are clearing the properties of their friends and neighbours.

Contractors and suppliers seeking to participate in the bushfire clean-up are encouraged to lodge an expression of interest via Service NSW.

To register, businesses need to provide a brief summary of services and relevant certifications.

Deputy Premier and Minister responsible for Disaster Recovery John Barilaro said this is a boost for regional areas and encourages local tradespeople and subcontractors to register their interest to assist the clean-up.

"Not only do these suppliers and subbies have the local knowledge and expertise to get the job done, but the money earned by contractors will be spent locally, benefiting the wider community," Mr Barilaro said.

The initiative is part of the NSW and Australian Government funded clean-up of properties destroyed by the recent bushfires.
