Over 45 items up for grabs at Council's online auction
Ararat Rural City Council is selling off surplus equipment ranging from trucks, scrap metal to a lawn seeder, that will go under the hammer next week.
Manheim Auction Services will run the online auction for a week, allowing people to start bidding from 7 pm on Thursday, 13 May to Thursday, 20 May.
Council CEO Dr Tim Harrison said the annual event is one of the most highly anticipated auctions for the local community.
"The items in the auction are surplus to council's needs and have been well kept," said Dr Tim Harrison.
"It's a great opportunity for those who may be looking for high-quality gear at a competitive price."
The online auction features over 45 items from the Works Depot including a quad dog trailer, prime mover, kerb machine and more which have been serviced, maintained and safety-checked by Council staff.
"People are welcome to inspect the items on Tuesday, 18 May between 10am-3pm at the Works Depot, 24 Flattely Street in Ararat.
"The money raised through the auction will go back into Council's programs and help us keep moving forward to serve our community," he concluded.
Online bidding will take place on Manheim's website from 7pm on 13 May to 20 May. A full list of auction items can be found here: https://www.manheim.com.au/trucks-machinery/auctions/AC1/page1?franchiseID=ARC
