Overnight Alternating Lane Closure on Chaudière Crossing

Public Services and Procurement Canada

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to inform motorists that an alternating lane closure will be in effect on the Union Bridge of the Chaudière Crossing to allow asphalt repair work to be carried out during the following period:

During this time, only one lane will remain open, with alternating traffic in both directions. Traffic signage will be in place, and flag persons will direct traffic. Motorists should expect delays.

One cycling lane will remain open on an alternating basis. Cyclists will be directed to share the available cycling lane. To ensure the safety of all users, cyclists will be required to dismount and walk their bicycles through the work area. The pedestrian path will remain open.

The planned maintenance work involves rehabilitation of the asphalt on the north approach of the Union Bridge. The alternating lane closure is required to allow the work to be carried out safely.

The work schedule may change depending on weather conditions.

PSPC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the crossing and thanks them for their patience.
