P plater says see you later to his licence and car

Heidelberg police have impounded a vehicle in Heidelberg this morning (13 October), Victoria Police say.

Police observed the vehicle, a blue VW Golf sedan travelling north along Waiora Road just before 3am.

The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old Ivanhoe man, allegedly returned a positive blood alcohol content reading of 0.177.

His probationary licence was immediately suspended for 12 months and his vehicle has been impounded for 30 days at a cost of $884.00.

He is expected to be charged on summons with one count of drink driving.
