A 28-year-old Doreen man has had his car impounded after he was allegedly caught three times over the legal limit in Tynong North on Saturday night.
Officers from the Heavy Vehicle Unit were patrolling as part of a TAC operation when they detected a Lexus driving erratically on Princes Highway just after 9am.
Officers intercepted the vehicle on Princes Highway, Tynong North and spoke to the driver who has a zero-alcohol condition.
He underwent a preliminary breath test and then a roadside evidentiary test where he returned an alleged reading of 0.160.
The Lexus was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1304.00.
He was served with an immediate 12-month licence ban and released pending summons.
