Nunawading Highway Patrol impounded a vehicle in Glen Waverley this morning, Victoria Police say.
Police observed a VW Polo allegedly travelling at 166km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Monash Freeway.
The P plate driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old, returned a positive drug and breath test.
His vehicle has been impounded for 30 days and he will be charged on summons with drink & drug driving, exceed speed limit, fail to display "P" plates & breach of passenger restriction
