Package located and assessed at Mount Crosby, QLD

Police investigating a suspicious looking package at Mount Crosby today have determined the item non-dangerous, Queensland Police say.

At 3.30pm, emergency services were called to an Allawah Road facility following the discovery of an item on the ground floor.

The facility self-evacuated before police arrived to contain the scene.

Officers sighted the package and the Explosive Ordinance Response Team (EORT) from Brisbane were tasked to attend and exam the item.

At approximately 6.30pm, EORT determined the package to be non-dangerous.

Investigations have now identified the source of the package and the incident is no longer being treated as suspicious.
