Pages Wharf Road in Sackville has re-opened after flood damage.

Extensive repairs, including bank stabilisation works, were carried out to provide residents with access to their homes and other street networks after the region's worst flood in decades impacted a section of the rural road in March.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne said she was pleased to see the road now operational.

"When the flood waters receded, we saw the true impact of this natural disaster," Mayor Byrne said.

"Literally, a big chunk of the road was missing and some of our residents remained landlocked.

"Council worked hard to provide residents with temporary access and ensured garbage could continue to be collected as emergency repairs were carried out.

"These repairs were a challenging task, but I want thank residents for their patience and understanding as work was carried out to restore the road to full capacity," Mayor Byrne added.
