Pair arrested following Geelong incidents

Two teens have been arrested after allegedly trying to evade police at Geelong this morning, Victoria Police say.

Police were called to a suspicious vehicle in Swanston Street about 8.15am.

It’s alleged two people in the blue Holden sedan drove off upon becoming aware of police presence.

Shortly after, the car is alleged to have collided with a pole on Latrobe Terrace before stopping in Fenwick Street and the occupants fleeing on foot.

The male occupant then allegedly tried stealing another car.

A 19-year-old man of no fixed address and a 15-year-old Geelong girl where arrested nearby.

They are currently assisting police with enquiries.

It’s alleged the pair has been involved in a number of incidents in the Geelong area that are currently being investigated, including the vehicle being driven erratically from Geelong to Melbourne yesterday.

A 22-year-old Norlane man arrested yesterday in relation to the alleged erratically driven car in the Geelong area was release pending further enquiries.
