Pair arrested in relation to stolen car found at Prospect, SA

Police have arrested two men after a stolen car was abandoned in Prospect a short time ago, according to SA Police.

Just after 12pm on Monday 11 September, patrols were called to Connaught Street after reports of two men walking away from a Kia sedan which was reported stolen from Broken Hill on 5 September.

Patrols quickly set up cordons and arrested one of the men after he was located nearby.

The second man was located in a house in Albert Street and arrested.

An 18-year-old has both been charged with illegal use and carry offensive weapon after he was allegedly found in possession of a knife while being searched.

A second 18-year-old was also arrested and charged with illegal use.

Both men, who are from Wentworth in NSW, have been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
