Pair charged with drug offences, NSW

A man and a woman have been charged with alleged drug offences following a search warrant in Sydney yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 9am today, police from Sydney City Local Area Command attended a unit on Liverpool Street.

Police executed a search warrant at the premises and allegedly located cocaine, heroine, LSD, Crystal Meth-Amphetamine, MDMA, cannabis, cash, fake drivers’ licences and fake Medicare cards.

A 38-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station.

She was charged with 17 counts of supply prohibited drug, five counts of possess prohibited drug, three counts of possess prescribed restricted substance, goods suspected stolen in/on premises, two counts of knowingly deal with proceeds of crime and two counts of unlawfully possess thing resembles Australian driver licence.

The woman was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today (20 August 2106).

A 26-year-old man at the unit was issued a field court attendance notice for possess prohibited drug.

He is due to appear in Downing Centre Local Court Wednesday 7 September 2016.
