Pair charged with trafficking cannabis, South Australia

Two people have been charged with drug trafficking after police seized nearly 600 cannabis plants yesterday.

Acting on information received, Western District detectives searched a number of premises and seized 581 cannabis plants and 5.9 kilograms of dried cannabis.

A 50-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, both from Ferryden Park, were arrested on Sunday 25 November and charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of cannabis and theft of electricity.

They were refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
