Multiple Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) crews are on scene at a commercial shed fire burning on Koplic Street, Park Ridge. The fire broke out earlier this morning and crews are working to contain the blaze. A significant amount of smoke is affecting the area and specialist FRS crews are monitoring air quality at the scene. Residents in Park Ridge, Marsden and Crestmead are asked to close windows and doors to minimise smoke impacts. Those suffering from a respiratory condition should keep their medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
