Council would like to advise the community that recent weather conditions, combined with an extended grass growing season, have resulted in delays to scheduled maintenance across Parks and Open Spaces.
In response, Council has implemented additional measures to address these delays, including reinforcing resources through the temporary allocation of staff from other departments to support mowing operations.
To ensure the continued usability and safety of key community spaces, priority is currently being given to high traffic and high use areas. This includes playgrounds, sports fields, and major destination parks.
Council acknowledges that some areas are currently overgrown and apologises for any inconvenience this may cause. We appreciate the community's patience and understanding as our teams work collectively to bring all sites back to the required maintenance standard as soon as practicable.
