A Victorian Liberal and Nationals motion in the Legislative Council which "calls on the Allan Labor Government to institute a Royal Commission into corruption on Victorian Government Big Build sites" has been supported by every crossbench party in the chamber.
In November 2025, the Victorian Liberals and Nationals committed to holding a Royal Commission into CFMEU misconduct, and recently released draft terms of reference.
Under Premier Allan, at least $15 billion of taxpayer money has been lost to corruption on Victorian major projects. Victorians deserve straight answers, accountability and transparency.
Leader of the Opposition, Jess Wilson, said: "Labor's cover up of the largest corruption scandal in Victoria's history must come to an end.
"This is a decisive vote of the Parliament in support of accountability and transparency.
"Premier Allan now has no choice but to end her denial and deflection and call a Royal Commission immediately.
"If the Premier doesn't act now, what is she continuing to hide?"
Liberal Member for Southern Metropolitan Region, David Davis, said: "Every political party stands united against major project rorts and corruption, except Labor.
"Support for a Royal Commission is unanimous across the political spectrum. The cover-up must end and Labor must call a Royal Commission now."
