Partial closure of Black Rock Jetty

A section of the Black Rock Jetty has been closed for public safety. The outer section of the pier including the head, the inner and outer low landings are closed to members of the public and berthing vessels.

This closure is due to an observed failed pile beneath the deck. Closure of this section does not impact access to the rest of the jetty and mariners are still able to launch vessels at the nearby Half Moon Bay boat ramp. Parks Victoria is working with stakeholders to minimise the impact of this closure where possible.
