Lake Macquarie City Council
A section of the Toronto Public Wharf at the end of Wharf Road, Toronto, has been closed due to safety concerns.
Recent inspections identified significant deterioration of a structural joist, resulting in damage to part of the jetty.
The closure affects only a portion of the wharf and is not expected to significantly impact public use of the facility.
The wharf is earmarked for a full replacement in the 2026-27 financial year.
