Passenger dies after crash in Blacktown

A passenger has died after a single-vehicle crash in Sydney’s west this morning, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to the corner of Eggleton and Garden streets, Blacktown, about 5.30am (Sunday 14 October 2018), after reports a car hit a pole.

The driver, an 18-year-old man, and two of the female passengers were taken to Westmead Hospital with various injuries, not considered life-threatening.

The driver will also undergo mandatory testing.

The second rear female passenger died at the scene. She is yet to be identified.

Police from Quakers Hill Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
