Pedestrian collision, Glasshouse Mountains

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a car in Glasshouse Mountains yesterday.

Preliminary investigations indicate around 11.15am, a pedestrian was jogging north along Old Gympie Road when he was struck by a car travelling in the same direction.

The jogger was thrown into a gully and sustained critical injuries. He was airlifted to hospital.

Anyone in the area who may have dash cam footage or witnessed the incident is urged to contact police.

Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
