Pedestrian critical after crash in Greenacre

A pedestrian has been critically injured in a crash at Greenacre, NSW Police say.

About 8.30pm (Wednesday 12 December 2018) a Toyota Rav 4 was travelling south on Waterloo Road, approaching the intersection with Greenacre Road, when it struck an 81-year-old man who walked out on to the road.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he is understood to be in a critical condition.

The 17-year-old male driver of the Toyota was uninjured. He was taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command continue with inquiries into the incident.
