Pedestrian Critically Hurt in Glenfield Hit-and-Run

A pedestrian has been critically injured in Sydney's south-west, after being hit by a vehicle which allegedly failed to stop.

About 4.15pm today (Monday, 16 June 2025), emergency services responded to reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a car at the intersection of Belmont Road and Canterbury Road, Glenfield.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 70-year-old male pedestrian at the scene before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command have been informed that the male was hit by a car at the location.

The car allegedly failed to stop and was last seen travelling north along Canterbury Road.

A crime scene has been established and is being examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.

Traffic diversions are currently in place and motorists are urged to avoid the area.
