A woman remains in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Merrylands tonight, NSW Police say.
About 7.45pm (Monday 29 October 2018), emergency services were called to Chetwynd Road following reports a woman had been hit by a car.
On arrival officers found a 34-year-old woman suffering critical head injuries.
She was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital.
A 27-year-old man who was driving a white Ford Ranger was not injured. He was also taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory tests.
Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit were called to the scene and have commenced inquiries.
