Pedestrian dies after Brighton crash, SA

A pedestrian has died in hospital after being struck by a truck at Brighton earlier today, according to SA Police.

At 12.10pm on Tuesday 28 November, emergency services were called to the intersection of Brighton Road and Jetty Road after reports a truck had collided with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 69-year-old Hove man, was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre with critical injuries, but sadly died later this afternoon.

The driver, a 39-year-old Pooraka man, was not physically injured during the collision.

Major Crash investigators attended the scene and are investigating the circumstances that led to the man's death.

The State's road toll currently stands at 94, 14 more than at the same time last year.
