Pedestrian dies after crash - Tuggerah Lakes

A pedestrian has died following a crash on the Central Coast.

About 8.55pm yesterday (Wednesday 17 January 2024), emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway, Wadalba, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle.

The 49-year-old woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to the John Hunter Hospital, where she later died.

The driver of the vehicle – a 38-year-old man – was uninjured.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
