A pedestrian has died in hospital following a collision in Ballarat last month, Victoria Police say.
It is believed the 78-year-old Ararat man was attempting to cross Sturt Street when he was hit by a car about on 9 May.
The man was taken to hospital following the collision but later died.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene to assist.
A 35-year-old Ballarat woman is assisting police with the investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
