Pedestrian dies following Essendon crash

A pedestrian has died in hospital after being struck by a car in Essendon yesterday, Victoria Police say.

The incident happened on Mt Alexander Road just before 10.30 on Monday 19 November.

Police have been told that the pedestrian, a 92-year-old Pascoe Vale South man, was struck by a south-bound car as he walked along the road.

The man was conveyed to hospital but died later in the evening.

Police will now prepare a report for the coroner.
