Pedestrian fatal crash at Bathurst

A man has died after being hit by a truck in the state's Central West today.

About 12.10pm (Wednesday 27 March 2019), emergency services were called to the intersection of William Street and Durham street, Bathurst, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a truck.

The pedestrian, a 33-year-old man, died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

Officers from Chifley Police District attended and have established a crime scene.

The male truck driver, aged 49, has been taken to Bathurst Hospital for mandatory testing.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash have commenced.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
