Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Bus in Tempe

A man has died after he was hit by a bus in Sydney's inner west today.

About 12:15pm today (Tuesday 10 February 2026), emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, Tempe, following reports of a crash.

On arrival, officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command located a 39-year-old man, who had been hit by a bus.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however he died at the scene.

The driver - 45-year-old man - was taken to Royal Prince Alfred hospital for mandatory testing.

The Princes Highway is closed northbound between Forest Road at Arncliffe and Union Street at Tempe.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
