Pedestrian hit by car at Parramatta

A pedestrian has been seriously injured after being hit by a car at Parramatta.

Emergency services were called to Victoria Road, near the James Ruse Drive on ramp, just before 3pm (Monday 1 April 2019) after a woman was hit by a Mitsubishi Lancer.

The woman, believed to be aged in her 60s, has been airlifted to Westmead Hospital with serious injuries.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced inquiries.

The male driver wasn't injured and has been taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory testing.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway and police are urging any witnesses to come forward.
