Pedestrian hit by car in Bayswater North

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a pedestrian hit by a car in Bayswater North last night.

Police have been told a vehicle was entering a driveway on Elmhurst Road when a female pedestrian was struck by the car just after 6.30pm.

The female pedestrian, a woman believed to be aged 40 to 50-years-old was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Maroondah Highway Patrol officers are investigating and are urgently trying to identify the woman.

She is described as Caucasian in appearance with grey hair and a thin build and was wearing dark coloured clothing.

Investigators are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage that may have been in the area at the time of the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
