Police are investigating a serious pedestrian incident which occurred near Bundaberg last night.
Just before midnight, police were called to the intersection of Childers Road and Kingswood Way in Elliot following reports a pedestrian had been run over.
A 23-year-old man was treated for injuries at the scene before being transported to Bundaberg Base Hospital with critical injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
