Pedestrian incident, East Brisbane

Police are investigating a serious pedestrian incident in East Brisbane earlier today.

At 4pm, a 27-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle as she attempted to cross Stanley Street East near Fisher Street.

She was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment to life-threatening-injuries.

The 34-year-old male driver of the vehicle was not physically injured during the incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information to assist investigators is asked to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
