Pedestrian injured at Hackham, South Australia

Police are investigating a crash at Hackham this morning that has seriously injured a pedestrian.

Emergency services were called to Main South Road, Hackham just after 5.30am on Wednesday 16 October by reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.

The pedestrian sustained serious leg injuries and a head injury and was taken by ambulance to the Flinders Medical Centre. Fortunately, his injuries at this time are not considered life-threatening.

The driver was taken to the Noarlunga Hospital suffering from shock.

Main South Road is closed for southbound traffic from Mick O'Sheas pub and motorists are asked to find an alternate route.
