Pedestrian injured in crash - Ultimo

Police are investigating a collision involving a truck and a pedestrian in the inner city overnight.

About 9:45pm yesterday (Tuesday 10 February 2021), emergency services were called to the intersection of Mountain Street and Broadway, Ultimo, after reports a truck had hit a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 52-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries and was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to St Vincent's Hospital. Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The truck driver, a 60-year-old man, was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command secured a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Inquiries are continuing.
