A man remains in a critical condition after he was struck by a heavy vehicle travelling on the Stuart Highway near Kulgera overnight.
It is alleged a road train was travelling south on the Stuart Highway when it struck a pedestrian walking on the road around 9:45pm, Northern Territory Police say.
The 23-year-old man was treated by staff at a local clinic before being transported to the Alice Springs Hospital.
Major Crash Investigation Unit will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
