Pedestrian struck by train at Evanston, South Australia

Police are currently at the scene of a serious rail crash at Evanston.

Just after 2pm on Wednesday 17 April, police and emergency crews were called to the railway line about 300 metres west of the Barnett Road Railway Crossing, after pedestrian was hit be a train.

Commuters are advised that trains are not operating between Gawler and Salisbury.

Investigators from Major Crash will be attending the scene.

Motorists should avoid the area.
