Perfumed bandit in Melbourne's CBD

Police are hoping to identify a man following the theft of several bottles of perfume from a Melbourne store earlier this month.

Investigators have been told a man walked into a chemist on Bourke Street about 8.30pm on 3 July.

The man placed three bottles of perfume in a plastic bag he was carrying before leaving the store without making any attempt to pay.

Police have released images of a man who they believe can assist with their investigation.

He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in his mid-20's, medium build and dark hair.

Anyone who recognises the man or has any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppervic.com.au.
