Persons assisting police in regards to two separate burglaries, TAS

Burglary of Caltex Service Station George Tow, Tasmania Police sayn

Two males aged 39 years and 24 years have today been charged by Launceston CIB in regards to a burglary of the Caltex Service Station at George Town on the 7th of January 2019.  Both males will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court.  Police are asking that members of the public with any information in regards to packets of cigarettes being sold cheaply contact their local police station or report this anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at crimestopperstas.com.au

Burglary –  firearms stolen

Police have two male persons in custody assisting with their enquiries in regards to a burglary committed at a residence in Swansea earlier today where three (3) firearms were stolen.  The firearms which were being stored in accordance with legislation have been recovered.   At the time of the burglary no-one was home.
