Perth market snapshot for week ending 22 March 2020

Sales activity decreased seven per cent in Perth this week, withREIWA membersreporting 607 transactions.

This decrease can be attributed to a 11 per cent fall in house sales and a two per cent fall in unit sales, despite a 23 per cent rise in vacant land sales over the week.

Properties for sale

There were 12,691properties for sale in Perthat the end of this week,which is in line with last week.

A closer look at listing stock levels shows house and vacant land listings remained stable while listings for units decreased by one per cent.

This week's total figure is on par with levels seen four weeks ago, but is 27 per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

Perth rental market

REIWA members reported there were 5,431properties for rent in Perthat the end of this week,which is one per cent less than last week.

This week's rental listings figure is one per cent lower than levels seen four weeks ago and are 19 per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

Leasing activity decreased one per cent in Perth this week, with REIWA members reporting 1,060 properties leased.
