Pizza bar break-in and theft

A man has been arrested after allegedly breaking into a takeaway restaurant at Stoneyfell overnight.

Just before 12.30am on Thursday 25 June, patrols were called to a pizza restaurant on Hallett Road after an alarm activation. On arrival, police discovered the front door ajar and an empty beer can nearby.

Police Dog Zues and his handler commenced a track while other patrols searched the area. The suspect was located a short time later still in possession of an amount of beer allegedly stolen from the pizza bar.

A 21-year-old man from Adelaide was charged with serious criminal trespass and theft. He has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
