Come along to our Dying to Know Day event and learn valuable information about end-of-life planning.
Dying to Know Day, held annually on August 8, is a national event that encourages open and honest conversations about death, dying, and end-of-life planning. Its purpose is to break down the stigma and mystery surrounding these topics, helping people feel more comfortable discussing and preparing for what is ultimately a natural part of life.
On the day, you will get the opportunity to have a guided tour of the Ferntree Gully cemetery with Karin Orpen, OAM, Secretary of the Knox Historical Society and former Mayor who will explore local history and reflect on life's big questions.
The Eastern Community Legal Centre will also hold an Estate Planning session. Learn the essentials of wills, powers of attorney, and how to make sure your wishes are known and respected. The session will help take the fear out of the conversation and replace it with knowledge, care, and connection.
