Poker machines damaged in Bundoora

Police have released an image of a man after several poker machines were damaged in Bundoora in December.

Officers have been told a man was in the gaming room of a hotel in Plenty Road and was playing the 'pokies' when he damaged several machines on 30 December about 8.15pm.

It appears the man stood up, grabbed the chair he was sitting on and swung it towards his gaming machine, which in turn smashed the screen.

He then grabbed two other chairs and in two separate incidents again swung the chairs at two other machines. On one occasion another patron had to quickly get out of the way.

The man was then seen to leave the hotel with a female acquaintance.

It is believed the damage to the machines is valued around $6000.

Greensborough police have released an image of a man they believe will be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is described as aged in his 20s, about 190-195cm tall with a dark complexion. He has black medium length curly hair which is shaved to the left and right of his head. He also has a black moustache and chin beard.

He was wearing a grey t-shirt, chino style pants and white runners.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or with about the identity of the man is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or log onto www.crimestoppersvic.com.auExternal Link.
