Police appeal after armed robbery in Auburn

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Auburn this morning, NSW Police say.

Just after 6.30am today, a 43-year-old man walked to an underground car park of a building on Hargrave Road and opened the boot of his vehicle.

Police have been told two unknown men, one armed with a knife and another with a metal bar, approached the man and threatened him.

The pair fled the scene a short time later taking cash.

The man was uninjured and contacted officers attached to Flemington Local Area Command, who attended and established a crime scene.

As investigations into the incident continue, police urge any witnesses who have not yet come forward, or anyone with information, to contact Crime Stopers.
